They Come and They Go (feat Renigade)

from Ready to Burn by Crossworm

/

about

I originally wrote this song in 2006. It was meant to feature an emcee friend of mine from college at that time. He never got around to completing it and the track collected dust. I asked Renigade to be a part of this, and it was one of 99 collaborations Renigade did that year, in order to increase his skills as an emcee... a move I respect highly.

The chorus although very simplistic, was meant for breath control to help myself gear into the 2nd verse. I did my parts in one shot with no cutting in pasting. So that style of hook helped me achieve that.

about

Crossworm Grand Rapids, Michigan

Crossworm is a heathen anti-pop artist.

"Crossworm is almost annoyingly talented. Musician, artist, poet, and essayist, he’s seemingly a potential threat in almost any artistic medium you drop him into.

Crossworm’s music is a strong mix of violent imagery, anthemic chorus’s, introspection and societal critique told from the voice of the proletariat."
